손님이든 새해든 일단은 깨끗하게 청소부터 하는 걸로..ㅎㅎ

New Year's Eve traditions

 

A : Hey, have you heard about any interesting New Year's Eve traditions from around the world?
B : Yeah, I have. There are  some really cool ones. For example, in Scotland, people believe that the first person to step into your house on New Year's Day  will bring you good luck or bad luck for the year. So, it's important to make sure that the first person to come over is someone you like!
A : That's interesting. In Greece, they have a similar tradition. But, instead of the first person to step into your house, It's the first person to knock on your  door.
B : Wow, that's a lot of pressure
A : I know, right? But I think it's a nice tradition. It's a way to start the new year off on the right foot.
B : I agree. There are a lot of other interesting New Year's Eve traditions, too. In Spain, people eat 12 grapes at midnight. They believe that each grape bring them good luck for a month of year.
A : This sounds delicious! I'm definitely going to try that this year.
B : In Russia, people write town their wishes on a piece of paper and burn it. Then, They put the ashes in a glass of champagne and drink it. They believe that this will help their wishes come true.
A : That's a reader strange, but It's also kind of romantic.
B : There are a lot of other traditions, too. Some people wear red clothes to bring good luck. Others trevor on New Year's Day to start the year off on a new adventure.
A : I think It is so cool how different cultures have different ways of celebrating New Year's Eve.  It's a reminder that there's more than one way to do things.
B : I agree. It's also a reminder that we're  all connected, even if we live. In different parts of the world.
A : Yeah, It's a time to celebrate with friends and family, no matter where you are.
B : I'm already excited for New Year's Eve!
A : Me, too!

새해 전야 전통

 

A : 세계 각국의 새해 전야 전통에 대해 들어본 적 있어?
B : 그럼. 멋진 것들이 많아. 예를 들어 스코틀랜드에서는 새 전날 집에 들어오는 첫 번째 사람이 그해에 행운이나 불운을 가져온다고 믿어. 그러니까 중요한 것은 첫 번째로 들어오는 사람이 좋아하는 사람이어야 해.
A : 흥미롭네. 그리스에도 비슷한 전통이 있어. 하지만 집에 들어오는 첫 번째 사람이 아니라 현관문을 두드리는 첫 번째 사람이야.
B : 와, 그건 부담이 많겠네!
A : 알지? 근데 좋은 전통이라고 생각해. 새해를 올바른 발걸음으로 시작하는 방법이니까.
B : 동감이야. 다른 흥미로운 새 전화 전통도 많아. 스페인에서는 자정에 포도 12알을 먹어. 각 포도알이 그달에 행운을 가져다준다고 믿어.
A : 맛있을 것 같아. 올해 꼭 해봐야지.
B : 러시아에서는 종이 한 장에 소원을 적어 불태워. 그리고 재를 샴페인 한 잔에 넣고 마셔.
소원이 이루어지게 해 준다고 믿거든.
A : 좀 이상하지만, 낭만적이기도 하네
B : 그 외에도 많은 전통이 있어. 어떤 사람들은 행운을 가져오는 붉은 옷을 입어. 다른 사람들은 새해 첫날 여행을 떠나 새로운 모험을 시작해.
A : 다양한 문화의 새 전화를 축하하는 방식이 다르다는 게 정말 멋진 것 같아. 세상에는 하나 이상의 올바른 방법이 있다는 것을 상기시켜 주는 것 같아.
B : 동의해. 또한 우리가 세계의 다른 지역에 살고 있더라도 모두가 연결되어 있다는 것을 일깨우는 것 같아.
A : 맞아. 어디에 있든 친구와 가족과 함께 축하하는 시간인 거 같아.
B : 벌써 새 전화가 기대돼!
A : 나도!
