hate something with a passion

무언가를 정~~~말로 싫어한다

passion은 "열정"을 뜻하지만, 이 경우에는 "강렬한 감정"을 의미한다. 
따라서 hate something with a passion은 무언가에 대해 강렬한 혐오감을 느낀다는 의미이다.
 
Ron : You know, there's one thing I absolutely hate with a passion.
Hermione : Oh, really? I'm curious, what is it that drives you crazy?
Ron : It's traffic jams. I can't stand them. The endless waiting,
          the honking horns - it just gets on my nerves.
Hermione : I completely understand. Traffric jams are frustrating. For me, it's mosquitoes.

          It's funny how there are certain things in life that we all seen to hate passionately.
