추석

오늘은 둥근 보름달이 떠오르는 추석이다.
민족의 대이동이 일어나는 대한민국 대표 명절로 모두들 달덩이 만큼의 스트레스를 받는 날인 것은 안비밀 ㅎㅎ

Chuseok, or Korean Thanksgiving, it's a major holiday celebration in Korea. It is time for families to come together to celebrate the harvest and honor their ancestors.
 추석, 한국의 감사절은 가족이 함께 모여 수확을 축하하고 조상을 기리는 한국의 주요한 명절이다.

Chuseok falls on the 15th date of the eight month of the lunar calendar, which is usually in September. This year, Chuseok will be celebrated from September 27 to 29.
 추석은 음력 8월 15일로 보통 9월에 있으며 올해엔 9월 27일 부터 29일 추석 명절이다.

On  the first ady of Chuseok, famillies gather to clean their homes and prepare for the festivities. They also visit their ancestor's graves to offer prayers and food.
추석 기간 첫날엔(추석 전날) 가족들이 모여 집안을 깨끗히하고 명절(음식등)을 준비한다. 또한 조상의 묘를 찾아 음식과 예를 올리성묘를 한다.
 
On the second day, famillies gather for a large feast. Traditional Cuseok foods include songpyeon, a type of rice cake, and bulgogi, a grilled beef dish.
추석 당일엔 가족들이 함께 모여 송편이라는 떡과 양념소고기 구이인 불고기등의 추석음식을  상다리 부리지게 차려놓고 즐긴다.
 
On the third day, families visit their relatives and friends. They also enjoy traditional games and activities, such as kite flying and tug-of-war.
 명절 마지막 날에는, 친척들과 친구들을 방문하며, 연날리기나 줄다리기등의 전통놀이를 즐기기도 한다.

Chuseok is a time for Koreans to reflect on the past and to celebrate their culture. IT is a time for famillies to come together and to strengthen their bonds.
