Do는 어떻게 사용될까?

 

조동사로서의 do

 
do는 다음과 같은 용도의 조동사로 사용된다.
 
1. 의문문 만들기
    do는 의문문을 만들 때  사용된다.
    . Do you like coffee?
    . What do you do for a living?
    . Where do you live?
 2. 부정문 만들기
    do는 부정문을 만들 때도 사용된다.
    . I do not(don't) like coffee.
    . He does not(doesn't) work here.
 3. 강조하기
    do는 일반동사를 강조하기 위해 사용된다.
    . I do love you.
    . I really do like coffee.
    . He does work here.
 

일반동사로서의 do

 
do는 다음과 같은 용도의 일반동사로 사용된다.
 
1.동작이나 행동 나타내기
  . What do you do?
  . I do my homework every day.
  . He does the dishes.
2. 상태 나타내기
  . What dod you do for a living?
  . I do not feel well.
  . He does not understand.
